A Village Market A village market is a place where villagers come to buy and sell things. It is held at an open field, by the side of a river or a canal or by the side of a road or under a big tree. There are two kinds of village markets. They are the daily 'bazar' and the weekly 'hat'. The daily 'bazar' sits every morning and afternoon.
The weekly 'hat' sits once or twice in a week., Some shops are permanent and some are temporary Rice, dal, oil, salt, pepper, wheat, flour, ghee, spices, vegetables , milk, fish, fruits, betel leaves etc. are sold in a village market. A village market is very important in the life of the villagers. It is their, meeting place.
